FLSmidth is currently looking for a Design Engineer to perform Engineering assignments that require the application of standard design techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related design engineering tasks. Works with more experienced engineers to implement process and product improvements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Prepare accurate technical calculations for process systems and product designs in accordance with recognized procedures and/or based on accepted engineering practices.
2.Assure compliance to FLS standards, customer requirements and requirements of regulating agencies with respect to design.
3.Responsible for engineering costs, schedule and generation of appropriate engineering and business system documents (drawings, parts lists, manuals, etc.).
4.Responsible for economical and practical designs, design improvements and development of standards for assigned products/projects.
5.Defines, reviews and approves work of designers/draftsman pertaining to assigned projects and products.
6.Prepares product/process specifications and data efficiently, accurately and on schedule. Provides product/process engineering information needed for proposals and to support customer requirements.
7.Support Aftermarket work by providing technical assistance/engineering work as requested.
8.Travel as required to start up, commission, evaluate, operate or resolve operating problems on FLS supplied plants and equipment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
B.S. degree Engineering; 3-4 years experience
Ideal candidate will have background in gyratory and cone crusher bevel gearing and or open gearing.
Must be proficient in use of computer aided drafting system and personal computers using company standard software.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Familiar with application of 2D and 3D CAD tools.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
